ON THE PATH TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone or email one week prior to changes.

.REFUND POLICY: Refunds will be processed within 7 – 14 days once our Customer Service Representative confirms by either telephone or email.

SPRING CLEAN-UP SERVICES (Weather permitting start April 1st to May 15th)

  • We cannot guarantee exact days or times for any of the spring clean-up packages or individual spring services.
  • Dog feces must be picked up prior to our arrival. If they are not, additional charges will apply to clean up the dog feces, or possibly the services will not be performed.
  • Sprinkler heads must be clearly flagged or marked for aeration services.
  • If garbage bag removal is requested there is an additional charge of $2.50 per bag. The garbage bags will be removed within 1-3 days after the clean-up/work is performed.
  • Gates need to be unlocked.
  • There will be an additional charge for any branches that must be gathered/stacked and/or bagged.
  • Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone or email a minimum of one week prior to changes. Services cancelled, skipped or changed without prior notice will be chargeable at the regular fee.

 

WEEKLY LAWN CUTTING (Weather permitting start May 15th until September 30th)

  • Our crews cut the lawn at the specified address once every week. We cannot always guarantee that the lawn will be cut the same day of the week each week. Factors such as weather, holidays and unforeseen circumstances can disrupt our schedule.
  • We cannot guarantee a specific day of the week for the lawn cutting.
  • Grass clippings are mulched. If bagging the grass clippings is requested we will place the grass clippings in your compost pile/bin or in/near the garbage bin on the property.
  • Grass must not be over 5” in height to start the weekly lawn cutting service. Otherwise, an additional one time charge of $80 will be charged to the regular weekly cut charge.
  • Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone or email a minimum of one week prior to changes. Services cancelled, skipped or changed without prior notice will be chargeable at the regular fee.

 

BIWEEKLY LAWN CUTTING (Starts at the beginning of July until September 30th)

  • Prior to biweekly cuts we perform weekly cuts from May 15th until the end of June.
  • Our crews cut the lawn at the specified address once every 2nd
  • We cannot guarantee that the lawn will be cut the same day of the week every second week. Factors such as weather, holidays and unforeseen circumstances can disrupt our schedule.
  • We cannot guarantee a specific day of the week for the lawn cutting.
  • Grass clippings are mulched. If bagging the grass clippings is requested we will place the grass clippings in your compost pile/bin or in/near the garbage bin on the property.

ONE TIME LAWN CUTTING

  • Full bag removal must be provided and is an additional cost of $2.50 per bag.
  • A minimum rate of one man-hour is charged with a minimum of 1 hour. Each hour after the first hour will be charged in ¼ hour increments at the man-hour rate.
  • Payment is due for the first man-hour upon receipt of the order.
  • Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone or email a minimum of one week prior to changes. Services cancelled, skipped or changed without prior notice will be chargeable at the regular fee.

HOLIDAY LAWN CUTTING

  • Lawn cutting will only be performed on maintained lawns.
  • We cannot guarantee a specific day of the week for the lawn cutting while you are on holiday.
  • Grass clippings are mulched. If bagging the grass clippings is requested we will place the grass clippings in your compost pile/bin or in/near the garbage bin on the property.
  • Grass must not be over 5” in height to perform the holiday lawn cutting service. Otherwise, an additional one time charge of $80 will be charged to the regular holiday cut charge.
  • Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone or email a minimum of one week prior to changes. Services cancelled, skipped or changed without prior notice will be chargeable at the regular fee.

FERTILIZER APPLICATIONS

  • The fertilizer can be applied in the spring, summer and/or fall.
  • If the 3 applications of fertilizer package is ordered this service must be prepaid.

 

GUTTER (EAVESTROUGH) CLEANING(early spring, summer and fall)

  • We require an outside water tap to connect our water hose in order to provide water for our gutter cleaning service.
  • We will perform gutter cleaning prior to the spring clean-up season (weather permitting) and commence gutter cleanings after the spring clean-up season finishes.
  • We are unable to clean the gutters if there is ice in them.
  • We are not responsible for any water related problems from the gutters/soffits/downspouts or water tap that affect any part of the building/people/property or neighbours building/people/property.
  • If ladder accessibility is not possible within the property boundaries or compromises the safety of our worker we can attempt to place our ladder on the adjoining property only with the neighbors permission.

HEDGE OR TREE TRIMMING/PRUNING

  • A flat rate quote within a minimum and maximum range will be given.
  • Debris removal is included in the flat rate quote.

 

FALL LEAF CLEAN-UP AND OTHER FALL SERVICES(October 15th until November 15th weather permitting)

  • The leaves will be cleaned up.
  • There will be an additional charge for any branches that must be gathered/stacked and/or bagged.
  • We cannot guarantee exact days or times for any of the fall clean-up packages or individual fall services as weather can be unpredictable and impede work.
  • Dog feces must be picked up prior to our arrival. If they are not, additional charges will apply to clean up the dog feces, or possibly the services will not be performed.

SNOW REMOVAL(Beginning October 15th until April 30th)

  • Snow removal commences with snowfalls which include 1cm or more of snow accumulation.
  • The monthly contracts cover once per day snow removal (maximum once per 24 hours) unlimited times within the monthly contract.
  • Snow removal services will be performed within 24 hours at the end of a snowfall.
  • Snowfalls, compacted snow or ice that have not been cleared prior to the commencement of snow clearing services will be charged a minimum of one (1) man-hour plus the regular monthly rate.
  • Changes or cancellation to service(s) must be by phone to our Customer Service Representative or email a minimum of one week prior to changes. As snow services are provided as a monthly contract, charges will incur for the entire month of cancellation.
  • All services performed or scheduled up to the end of termination/change notice will be invoiced and due immediately at the termination date.
  • Monthly services commencing on the 15th or later of the month will be charged a ½ month of the regular monthly rate.
  • Monthly services commencing prior to the 15th or earlier in the current month will be charged a regular full monthly service rate.
  • Ice melt/sand/gravel/salt will only be applied if prearranged with On The Path by email. There will be an additional charge for application of ice melt/sand/gravel/salt.
  • On The Path has the right to adjust the price at anytime and will notify the customer of the change before any further services are performed.
  • We do not chip ice as part of our regular snow removal agreement. If ice removal is requested as an additional service additional charges will apply at the rate of a minimum of one (1) man-hour. Consecutive hours will be dived into ¼ hour increments and charged accordingly. The first hour of ice removal must be prepaid before the work will be performed. This service must be prearranged with On The Path.
  • On snowfall days when there is more than 3” of snowfall, or when the snow is wet and heavy of any accumulation amount, our routes can take us longer than normal to clear.
  • On The Path will be closed for snow removal December 25th (Christmas Day) and January 1st (New Year’s Day) to allow all workers to spend time with family.
